Hewson Industries creates objects built for real use — stitched, shaped, and engineered from materials with history, strength, and character. We work with industrial textiles, archival fabrics, and design remnants, reworking them in-house to give them new form and new futures. Everything is handmade in our Alexandria workshop: durable goods with a sense of humour, a sense of purpose, and the kind of practicality that only comes from objects that began life in the real world, not the trend cycle.

Our pieces carry marks of previous utility — the quiet stories of labour, industry, family homes, summers, sheds, and work sites. We don’t think of these traces as imperfections, but as evidence: of care, endurance, the material intelligence of things that were built to last. Every item is reinterpreted through Hewson Industries’ design language, becoming something playful, functional, and genuinely unique.
